Agency: Russian airlines’ passenger traffic falls 26.6% in Mar
MOSCOW, Apr 8 (PRIME) -- The combined passenger traffic of Russian airlines fell by 26.6% on the year to 6.57 million people in March, the Federal Air Transport Agency said on Wednesday with a reference to operating data.
National flagship carrier Aeroflot’s passenger traffic plummeted by 41.5% in March to 1.8 million people, and the traffic of its subsidiary Rossiya Airlines plunged by 41.7% to 415,100 people. At the same time, the traffic of Pobeda, the low-cost branch of Aeroflot, grew 3% to 748,000 people.
The passenger traffic of S7 Airlines rose by 10.2% to 999,600 people and of Ural Airlines went down 25.4% to 494,900 people.
In January–March, the combined traffic of Russian airlines fell by 5.3% to 23.4 million passengers.
In 2019, the passenger traffic of rose 10.3% to 128.1 million people.
